This book assumes that the reader knows the basic rules of chess, has played games for entertainment, and understands game notation. All games in this book came from real games played online by the author in November and December 2014. At the time the author was just beginning to learn chess and made many mistakes typical of a beginner. The following notation and Tactical Analysis is useful for reading and improvement. The fundamental method for improving in chess is to analyze games and understand where differing moves would have been better than the moves played.
